How to configure Gmail Push Properly for iPad

One of the best things about using an iPad rather iOS in general is its awesome mail client that allows you to browse through all your mails with a breeze.  A lot of people asked me why their Gmail Push is not working properly on the new iPad. Well, today I am going to answer all your questions and show you the exact steps you need to follow in order to setup Gmail Push the right way for your iOS devices.
Most of you having a Gmail account opted for the Gmail option box when setting up your new mail. Although Gmail will display all your mails when you launch the mail application but there are some problems when you select it from the main mail configuration page

1. Selecting Gmail Push Mail will not work
2. Selecting Gmail Drafts and Trash will not Sync Properly with your Google Account
3. iCal will not Sync properly when you select Gmail

The Step By Step Solution for Push Mail

Step 1

First delete your old mail account on your iPad and launch the mail application. Select Microsoft Exchange.
Enter your full Gmail Address on the Email Box. Leave the Domain field Blank and again enter Gmail Address on Username. For the Password use the same password for your Gmail account that you are setting up.

Step 2

Make sure that the credentials entered in Step 2 is correct and then hit the Next button.
Once you click on Next a new field called Server will popup below the Email Box. Enter the server name as m.google.com and press the Done Button.

Your Gmail is now synced properly with the iPad mail client and pushmail should work just fine. Also I did notice that Google Calander and iCal are synced as well.
