Apple iTunes Store launched in 12 New Asian Countries

It seems that Apple is rapidly expanding their worldwide reach of their Digital services. Today we got confirmed news that Apple is launching the popular iTunes Store along with movies and TV Shows in 12 new Asian countries. An Asian tech site called e27 confirmed last week that Apple invited some musicians in Hong Kong to perform this week and it seems clear why.
The list of Countries that are getting the iTunes Store are as Follows:

  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore
  • Taiwan
  • Brunei
  • Cambodia
  • Laos
  • Macau
  • Malaysia
  • Philippines
  • Thailand
  • Sri Lanka
  • Vietnam

A few weeks back Apple told us about their launch of the new App Store in some African and Asian countries and now with the iTunes Store rolling in, its clear that the company is planning something big that would require such services all over the world. My best guess would be the much rumored iTV. Who knows maybe Apple will launch the new iTV sooner than expected. Since it’s a digital hub services like iTunes, Movies etc. are a must in whichever countries they sell.

We will be keeping a close eye on this developing story from Apple and report you with all the latest updates. Meanwhile if you are from any one of these countries you can share what songs, tv shows you are downloading via iTunes.
